Illini 4000

Quoting Rachel Samaniego: Summer Rider of 2011: When asked what I could write about Illini 4000, without hesitation she replied, “ITS AWESOME.”

Pretty much sums it up.

Illini 4000’s goal is to fundraise for the American Cancer Society in Camp  Kesum: A camp for children who’s parents have been affected by cancer or are currently being affected by cancer. A team of 29 UIUC students  will be riding from New York to San Fransisco sharing stories, raising awareness, and learning more about the realities of health care for cancer patients.

I took some images of them biking for 24 hours to continue in their fundraising efforts on campus:
